In the hands of internationally trained and educated doctors, Apollo’s investment, in the best technology, yields exceptional clinical outcomes for patients.

64 Slice CT Angio scan system

The 64 slice CT ANGIO IMAGING SYSTEM is a very advanced and sophisticated technology which can, in a non invasive manner, provide a very accurate image of the heart and detect narrowing of the cardiac blood vessels . This contributes immensely to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac, particularly coronary artery disease. The 64 slice CT Angio system is sure to augment the already formidable reputation Apollo hospitals enjoys as one of the most comprehensive and advanced cardiac care providers in the country. This facility is available at Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad.

PET – CT scan

The PET-CT Scanner is the latest innovation in cancer treatment. It 'fuses' together conventional PET and CT scans. This enables the detection of even small lesions or tumors. They are located anatomically and given a 3D contouring and localization for more accurate treatment planning. In addition to aiding cancer detection, the PET-CT Scanner is invaluable in neurological and heart disease management. This facility is available at Apollo Health City, Hyderabad.

LASIK

The eye department is equipped with ALLEGRETTO Wave Eye Q Excimer laser system. This advanced new generation laser system has a scanning laser spot of 0.95mm diameter along with active eye tracking system (tracks the eye movements 400 times per second).

MRI Scanners

The MRI Unit is equipped with the MRI Philips Intera 1.5 TESLA. This superconducting system incorporates the latest technological advancements like Turbo-Spin Echo and ECHO-Planar Imaging. A wide range of RF coils provide high resolution imaging of the entire spine in a single examination.

Also performed are complex procedures like:

   • Dynamic study of the pituitary gland
   • 3D volumentary of the temporal lobe
   • High-resolution MRI of joints
   • Respiratory and Peripheral Pulse Gated Studies
   • MR Urography of the abdominal vessels, renal arteries and peripheral vessels

Flat Panel Cath Lab

Apollo Hospitals has the latest Cardiovascular imaging system in the Philips Allura Series. This dynamic flat deductor provides better image quality with low dose fluoroscopy. It uses rotational scan and stent boost for better visualisation of the coronaries. It is an indispensable weapon in Apollo's cardiac care arsenal.

Linear Accelerator (LINAC) with MLC, IMRT & 3D CRT

The LINAC provides external beam radiation treatments for patients with cancer. It delivers a uniform, high-energy x-ray dose to a specified region of the patient's tumor. This destroys cancer cells while sparing the surrounding normal tissue. It is also used in Stereotactic Radiosurgery. The effect is similar to that achieved using the gamma knife to targets within the brain. It can also be used to treat areas outside of the brain. The LINAC is an irreplaceable aid in Apollo's fight against cancer.

PET CT Guided Radiotherapy IMRT & 3D Conformal Radiotherapy
